David Magang

David Magang is a lawyer by profession and has been a legal practitioner since 1969. He was in active politics for a number of years, and finally retired in the year 2001. He was a Member of the Parliament for 22 years, and has held various ministerial positions such as Minerals, Mines & Water Affairs, Finance and Development Planning, Works, Transport and Communication. Till 2006, he practiced law through his own law firm, Magang & Co. He is currently a legal consultant to a law firm, Collins Newman & Co. affiliated to the UK law firm Denton Sapte.

He was the Chairman of CEDA, Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency, a government funded organization set up by the Government of Botswana to promote citizen entrepreneurial development.

 
 

Tony Poli

Tony is currently the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aquila Resources Limited with the responsibility for the operations of the Company.

     
 

Robin Berry

Bsc Engineering (Mining)

Robin joined Sentula Mining Limited as Chief Operating Officer in January 2007 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 December 2007. He joined the Group from his former position as Chief Executive Officer of Operations for Anglo Coal SA. He has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry at both managerial and operational levels.

     
 

John Barton-Bridges

MBA (INSEAD), M.Sc. (DIC), B.Sc. Civil Eng (UCT)

30 years of professional experience in mining, infrastructure, finance, and private equity in Africa, Europe, USA, Canada, Latin America, and Asia.

Previously Vice President at AIG Investments as well as working for 10 years with International Finance Corporation, the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group and the largest multilateral source of equity and loan financing for private sector projects in emerging markets, 12 years as an engineer with SRK, and other firms, working in the mining sector in Africa, Canada and the USA.

     
 

Howard Rae

BComm, CA

Howard is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has 20 years experience across the accounting profession and resources industry, with expertise in the areas of commercial management, mineral project evaluation, corporate development and debt and equity financing. Howard spent nine years in strategy and business development with South African listed Kumba Resources Limited, managing growth opportunities in the Australasian region, which included the development of the Hope Downs Iron Ore Project, acquisition of mineral sands miner Ticor Limited and ASX listing of nickel producer Mincor Resources NL.

     
 

Russell Tipper

B.Eng, MBA, MAusIMM

Russell has 30 years experience in mining operations, finance and project development throughout Australia. A mining engineer, Russell has worked in senior management and operational roles in steel raw materials operations producing iron ore, coal and manganese for both Robe River and BHP Billiton.

Following a short period in as Group Treasurer for North Limited, involved in funding, M&A and risk management, Russell has led project teams in producing bankable feasibility studies for projects such as Hope Downs Iron Ore, for Hancock Prospecting and Kumba Resources of South Africa, and the Karara Magnetite and Mungada Hematite Projects for Thiess in alliance with Gindalbie Metals

     
 

Michael Halliday

Aquila Resources has announced the appointment of Michael Halliday as head of its South African operations. His role would be to establish a corporate presence in the country, including a branch office to support the exploration and development activities in that country.

     
 

Danie Jacobs

Danie has several years experience with both financial institutions  and coal mining businesses. Danie specialises in mining finance, and has a strong track record of managing mining concerns and coal transactions.

Danie also has experience in mineral exploration and mining new business experiences and brings with him detailed knowledge of the implementation and management of coal mining projects.

He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Sentula Coal (Proprietary) Limited and Nkomati Anthracite (Proprietary) Limited, both subsidiaries of Sentula Mining Limited.

     
 

Richard Jonah

B. Economics (Haverford College, USA)

Richard Jonah is an entrepreneur with over ten years of professional experience, primarily in private equity and
investment management in Africa. He is co-founder and executive director of Jonah Capital. He has served as director
of a number of companies, listed on AIM or the JSE or unlisted, in a variety of sectors.

Richard recognises the sustainable development potential and investment attraction of opportunities in Africa and
continues to promote both local and foreign direct investment into Africa.
